This morning I met with our attorney for the lawsuit we filed when S was hit by a car in 2009. The long and short of it, things are not looking good. The more knowledge I gain of how the legal system works, the sicker I get. The sadder I feel. And confusion abounds.
Has there ever been a time when the good outnumbered the bad? Did good ever really have a chance over evil? The more I see, the louder my answer of NO is. Mankind is terrible! All I am left with is God. Except that mankind has probably lied to me about that, too. I’m sticking with what I’ve got. I still believe my bets are best hedged in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But today my faith in man is gone, and I’ll never welcome it back.
