Girls Night Out is my favorite night of the month. A few of us get together and hang out, laugh a lot, and go home ready to be better moms. After some trial and error, I think I’ve figured out that we like it best when we meet at a restaurant or the movies rather than pot-lucking at one of our homes. Who can blame us? Nobody wants to spend forever cleaning their house for a night out with the girls, only to stay home!
After our last GNO at the Macaroni Grill we decided to take a special field trip. In two weeks a friend of ours from church is getting re-married. Her shower was tonight so in preparation for it Mistress Warden, Mistress Prego and I went to Suzies to select some appropriate gifts.
Suzies is a local place that you won’t know of, but you know exactly what it is. For those of us that grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and environs, it is akin to the Blue Boutique (WARNING: NSFW) only on steroids.
That’s right. Three fabulous LDS ladies just walked right on in, after dark even, and perused the aisles for the sake our friend and her new hubby. Let me tell you, it was a hoot! You would not believe the kind of crap they have in that kind of store!
It got me to thinking, maybe we should have Anniversary Showers. You know, when someone hits a milestone year that ends in a “0” or “5” (like your 10th, 15th, 45th, etc) so we can encourage eachother to keep things spicy in our marriages!
Whaddaya say? I’ll totally host! I’m not due for a milestone anniversary for a few more years so who wants to go first?
