Tiny screwdrivers, bobby pins, the insides of ballpoint pens can all work for this.
Locking out parents used to be my S’s favorite hobby.
Have I told you about the time he locked us out of our house when he was 2? G and I were outside with the baby AND him, and he DARTED in and locked the door. G’s, um “rapping” on the window just happened to break the window.
That is how I got the momentum to put all new low-e windows in that house, which was one of my favorite home improvements.
