Step 1 – Listen to your friends when they tell you to run for President of the MOMS Club because they hate how it’s gone downhill as much as you do.
Step 2 – Run for president.
Step 3 – Go vote and hang around until the counting of the votes, visiting with all your friends you haven’t seen in awhile.
Step 4 – Say congrats to the girl who won, but you wish hadn’t, and as you leave take note that the friends who got you to run weren’t there voting today.
Step 5 – Go to the new Dollar Depot and find out that just about everything there is more than a dollar.
Step 6 – Go home and feel sad-ish and bummed that you didn’t win, but also feel relief because now you can hang out with your other moms group as planned this summer.
El Fin.

I had THE BEST pre-birthday celebration yesterday! Bananarama and her family had us all over and she made me the most fabulous potato salad I’ve ever had. Of course, it’s also the only potato salad I’ve ever had, but that’s because I have a strict no-mayo-in-my-salad rule. This one, did not have mayo in it. It had all manner of yumminess that did not require the foul white substance! You should visit her website HERE in a couple of days where I bet she’ll post the recipe. We also had some fabulous grilled chicken and corn on the cob, which I shucked because I’m so anal about making sure EVERY LAST SILK is plucked off the ear.
Then we picked up some poor, unsuspecting young woman from their ward to watch all six of our kids while we went to see “Pirates 3″, which is also three hours long.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Now that I’ve had some time to digest it and savor how thoroughly enjoyable it was, I am sad it’s all over.
Or is it?
Afterwards we headed back to rescue the sacrificial sitter and had the most fabulous lemon cake with tangerine/pomegranite sherbet, which makes for a fabulous frosting if you let it melt into a puddle around your piece of cake!
Well, I think I can die happy now. Excepting that my birthday is actually tomorrow, so I think I’ll wait. After all, Grandma A sent me a check for this purse I’ve been eyeing over at my favorite neighborhood Target….

Today, I am SUPER SALLY!!!
I get free movies online from Netflix. That is to say, I can watch them at home on my pc without waiting for a disc. And I’ve been trying to watch “The Italian Job” for like, ever. But something was wrong. Very, very wrong.
But not any more. I FIXED IT! I figured out how to uninstall my video card and then re-install it with the new drivers.
It works perfectly!
Now I have less than 24 hours before my date with Jack and Gwen, so I simply must go and put on my cannibal eyes and leave you all here to bask in my technological glory.
Toodles!

I haven’t had much to say. I sit here for a few minutes every day, hoping for something to write, but nothing comes out. Which is surprising considering that I’ve been pretty well occupied and surely something would have happened that would be amusing to share!
But, no. It hasn’t.

Note to self:
It’s probably not a good idea to talk about crack pipes in Relief Society.

Once again, I am going to hell. I’ve known for probably a good 3 weeks that I would be teaching in RS tomorrow and I have not prepared at all.
Ok, I shouldn’t say at all because I did read the lesson over about a week ago. And despite the fact that we have multiple copies of the manual, I haven’t been able to find one since that reading! And just as I’m getting ready to turn in for the night, !!!! A lightbulb goes on.
“You’re not ready yet, stupid!”
Oh, crap.
“Look on the internet. I bet you money that somebody has something put together that will get you going.”
And sure enough, someone has! And I must be the biggest loser ever because as I’m writing a little note of gratitude, that Elton John song, “Someone Saved My Life Tonight”, keeps going through my head. I HATE THAT SONG!!!
